VILLA Spot in Dangamvura will be a hive of activity when the popular Black Label provincial pool finals get underway tomorrow ahead of the national finals. Winners at the provincial finals will get a chance to partake at the national event that brings together winners from the other nine provinces across the country.
This year the Black Label national pool finals will be held at Motoring Club here in Mutare at a date to be announced before the end of the year. It remains to be seen whether last year’s winner, Black Stars’ Masimba Muchaka, will retain the top prize for Manicaland which he won ahead of Zhak Shiraq’s Brighton Nyauchi, who settled for second place.
Nyauchi’s teammate, Francis Frank, came third. Delta Beverages Eastern Region Sales Executive Tapiwa Munyonga confirmed that all is set for the event.
“We are going to have the 2017 edition of the exciting Black Label pool tournament at Villa Spot in Dangamvura on Saturday. It is a two day event that we hope will live up to its high billing. Pool has generally gained popularity in recent years not only in Mutare but countrywide hence we have no doubt that this trend will be reflected during this event,’”said Munyonga.
