FAILURE to fathom the fact that after catching her red handed with another man and chasing her away and that the man has moved on with his life, a Sakubva woman has resorted to harass him.All this was revealed at the Mutare Civil Court where Willas Garikai had dragged Mondre Dhlakama praying for a protection order.

Presiding over the matter was Ms Anniah Ndiraya.

He told the court that Dhlakama was his wife until he had caught her red handed with another man.

“She is now failing to come to terms with the fact that I am done with her. We would not have split because she is the mother of my two children if it hadn’t been for her promiscuity.

“She won’t let me go and still thinks that I am her husband. She is in the habit of attacking my girlfriend. Your Worship, I am currently dating someone who is serious with me who I intend to marry. Dhlakama has tried by all means to break the union in vain,” said Garikai.

He told the court that on Defence Forces Day celebrations in Sakubva Stadium, she approached him while he was following proceedings with his girlfriend. Dhlakama is alleged to have started shouting at both of them and poking Garikai’s new girlfriend.

“She provoked me by poking my girlfriend which is why I also assaulted her right there at the stadium,” he said.

Garikai further told the court that she was in the habit of texting him insulting and vulgar messages threatening to deal with his recent girlfriend.

The text messages were produced in court. He begged the court to put it through to Dhlakama that he was done with her because she was a cheat and that he now needed to move on with his life and not have her interfere.

In her response, Dhlakama told the court that she had not been cheating on her husband, but was chased away for no valid reason. She claimed that the man she had been caught with was her customer and not lover as she was a vendor.

“Ini ndiri munhu wevanhu because I am a vendor and so if he saw me with my customer, he had no right whatsoever to call me a prostitute. I did not cheat on him. I also had every right to approach him at the stadium because he is the father of my children and was spending all the money on his lovers instead of myself and the children,” she claimed.

Ms Ndiraya granted a protection order to Garikai which bars Dhlakama from texting or visiting him for purposes of violence or disturbing his peace.
