A prisoner of my past deeds tete babra

Dear Tete
I was sent to prison for theft a few years ago and ever since my life has been terrible. I admit that I made a mistake, but must I continue to suffer the consequences. I have repented, but my family will not leave me in the house on my own. If anything goes missing in the house they always accuse me. Am I ever going to be fully trusted again?

Tete Responds:
My brother, it will be well. Just remember that building something takes longer than destroying it. The trust that has been broken will take longer to return. All the while try and continue to be the reformed person you are. Some will take advantage of your past deeds to get away with their own selfish agendas, but do not be moved. You must work hard to regain your family’s trust and also that of the community. Take time to also share your lesson with the youth so that they continue to be good members of the society.

All the Best.
