…After marrying sisters from one family

THREE men who married sisters from one family are crying foul, claiming they have been “locked” and are now dysfunctional in what they suspect to be a case of juju.
The three men are desperately looking for assistance from traditional healers or modern medicine to save their marriages.
In an interview, one of the men (name withheld) who resides in Watsomba, revealed that his manhood stopped functioning seven years after he married the second eldest sibling subsequent to have had sired one child together.
The visibly dejected man (pictured) visited The Manica Post, saying his marriage was now at the verge of collapse because his wife was sex-starved. He said he was now a subject of physical and emotional abuse from his wife who is seemingly getting sex elsewhere.
“At first I did not take it seriously. In early 2000, things were normal when we sired our first child. After about seven years, my manhood started shrinking. I started disliking sex which was abnormal. Whenever I would feel like having it, it would suddenly shrink and become too small and this would frustrate my wife. Imagine the embarrassment.
“There was no erection at all at as time went by. Days developed into weeks and we would go for months without being intimate with my wife. I now only use my organ to urinate. My wife abuses me branding me a “useless” man. I am convinced that she could be getting sex from elsewhere.
“I sought help from two other men who married in the same family in a bid to save my marriage but to my surprise, they told me that they were having the same problem. I was initially shy but we realised that our problem was actually bigger than we thought,” he said.
He revealed that they visited several traditional healers and faith healers in a bid to “regain” normalcy in the bedroom. One of the men was ditched by his wife after he caught him red handed being intimate with another man.
“They all told us that the siblings that we married were under a curse and nothing could be done about it. We are still hopeful, however, that we will get some assistance some day,” said the teary man who struggled to compose himself during the interview.
Asked if he ever had any extra-marital affair where he could have been locked, he said.
“I never attempted to sleep with any other woman because I love my wife. One of the three of us tried it but nothing worked,” he said.
According to online sources, sexual dysfunction has physical and psychological causes which include, low testosterone levels, blood vessel disorders such as atherosclerosis and high blood pressure, concern about sexual performance, depression, feelings of guilt, effects of past sexual trauma and work-related stress and anxiety, among other things.
Zimbabwe National Traditional Healers Association president, Mr George Kandiero, said there was a possibility that the three men were cursed and were initiated into cults.
“These women vanogona kunge vakagadzirwa nedzinza ravo. Vanenge vari vakadzi vemumusha and nothing can be done by their husbands to solve the problem. They could have been initiated into cults by their kinsmen. There is a spirit that would not allow them to be happy in their marriages.
“It’s very possible and we have received numerous cases of such nature. Our organisation has exorcists who deal with such situations in order to restore their manhood,” said Mr Kandiero.
